Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 Bishkek – Naryn Sept. 12
We will contact each riders and manage to get everybody together. Meet up with your other group members. Ride to Naryn.
Day 2 Naryn – Kashgar Sept. 13
Ride to Kirgizstan border and met by your Chinese guide, clear the customs and handle the paper works. You will ride 160Km to Kashgar.
Day 3 Kashgar permit and license Sept. 14
Getting licenses and plates, afternoon free in Kashgar
Day 4 Kashgar- Yecheng Sept. 15
Start your journey with your guide and escort vehicle, you will travel to Yecheng, still in Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
Day 5 Yecheng – Mazha Sept. 16
Ride to Maza, start seeing the karakorum mountains.
Day 6 Mahza – Dahongliutan Sept. 17
Today you will officially enter Tibet Autonumous region. You will be riding along the karakorums, altitude stays at 4000meters.
Day 7 Dahongliutan – Bangongtso Lake Sept. 18
We will be riding to Bangongtso lake, an international lake the borders India to the west. You are actually parallel to Leh in northern India.
Day 8 Bangongtso Lake – Zhada Sept. 19
Zhada also called Tsaparang, is the ancient Gugu kingdom of Tibet, once had a strong influence to Ladakh region on the other side of the Himalayas.
Day 9 Zhada sightseeing Sept. 20
SPend a day to visit the ruins of Tsaparang, caves and grottoes.
Day 10 Zhada – Darchen- Manasarowar Lake Sept. 21
Ride to the holy lake at Manasarowar.
Day 11 Manasarowar Lake – Sage Sept. 22
Eastward toweards Saga., great view of the holy mountain Mt. Kailash.
Day 12 Saga – Shigatse Sept. 23
A long day ride to Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet.
Day 13 Lhasa Sept. 24
A rest day in Lhasa to visit this holy city of the Tibetans. Or you may want to service your bikes.
Day 14 Lhasa-Gyangtse Sept. 25
Ride to Gyangtse, enroute we pass the Yumdrok Lake and Karala glacier. Also to visit Gyantse Kunbum.
Day 15 Gyangtse – Tingri Sept. 26
We ride to Tingri, the township on the foot of the himalayas.
Day 16 Tingri-Base Camp of Everest Sept. 27
We ride over the 5200m pangla pass to Everest at Rongbuk Monastery. We will be spending some time at Eerest Base Camp.
Day 17 Everest BC-Zhangmu – Kodari (Nepal) Sept. 28.
Your guide will get the papers done and clear the customs. Time to say goodbye to Tibet. Over the bridge is the Nepalese immigration and customs. It is 160KM to Kathmandu.
