12 motorcycles in total for this China motorcycle tour, jam packed full of riding and scenery everyday for 13 days, covering 4,600 km.
The motorcycles we took ranged from KTM 1190 Adventure R’s, right down to new Honda CB 500 F’s, lightly modified for more comfortable, long distance touring.

It’s only about 4 hours riding time, including stops, to the Laos border with Thailand and before you know it you’re on your way to China, on one of the most interesting motorcycle tours in the world.

A ferry crossing until recently, now we cross the Mekong River via the new bridge into Laos and this China motorcycle tour enters China in no time.
We spend 1 night in Laos as we head eastwards towards the Laos/ China border, making this an Asian 3 nation motorcycle tour, in some respects. All the motorcycles were carefully checked before leaving, 400km already under our belts and all the bikes are performing well.

The one night we spend in Laos on this motorcycle tour, before we enter China, is spent in a beautiful town, with pleasant hotels and quality food. Before you know it we’re at the China border and ready for motorcycle riding in the Himalayan Mountains
We get a quick look at Laos as we ride east & transit Laos to get to China. The first day will get you used to the motorcycle ready for crossing into China the next day. Crossing into China can take a while, we have professional staff that get the process completed as quick as possible. Temporary driving licenses and temporary Chinese registration are issued for each rider.

This town in Laos makes for the perfect first days destination, staging, ready to enter China the next morning. From here its less than an hours ride to the China international border crossing with Laos.
While in Laos, we get the opportunity to looks around the local markets and see the ethnic way of life which has been unchanged for hundreds of years.

The first nights stop in Laos on this motorcycle tour gives everyone the chance to experience the local Laos delicacies which will be different once we ride into China.
